An actress who starred in the Disney Channel TV series Good Luck Charlie isn’t limiting her career path to acting.

Bridgit Mendler, who played Teddy Duncan on the show, graduated from Harvard Law School on May 23, E! News reports in a story noted by Above the Law. Her 4-year-old adopted son accompanied her on the stage as she received her diploma.

At Harvard, Mendler was co-president of the Harvard Space Law Society from 2022 to 2023, according to Above the Law and People, which cited information from Mendler’s LinkedIn page.

She was also pursuing her education as a PhD candidate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, but that work “had to go on pause” when she moved to California last summer with her family, she said in a March post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Mendler told CNBC that she “completely fell in love with space law” when she worked at the Federal Communications Commission. Her LinkedIn page indicates that she was with the FCC’s international satellite division policy branch from May 2022 to August 2022.

Mendler is nurturing her love of space law in yet another way.

She is the CEO of a California tech startup called Northwood Space that plans to “mass produce” ground stations that connect to satellites in space, according to CNBC, which was published in February.

She founded Northwood Space with two engineers, one of whom is her husband, Griffin Cleverly. He is Northwood Space’s chief technology officer.
