This black-clad addition to an existing Long Island house includes a second-floor painting studio, powder room, and garage that doubles as an exhibition space when not populated by a 1966 Chevy Impala.
Featuring multiple pools and spa-like amenities, the sprawling facility is a destination for swimmers, splashers, divers, and floaters of all ages.
Designed by Tokyo-based o+h, the facility features a sunken gym, open play area, and ramped walkway that itself is part of the fun.
“He sought to make a difference in the world, in small gestures as well as grand ambitions, and he succeeded brilliantly,” writes Gwendolyn Wright of the late architect, author, and academic.
