Ariana Grande is reportedly the new owner of a Hollywood Hills home that previously belonged to Cameron Diaz. According to Dirt, Diaz never actually lived in the home, which sits on a half acre of land with a view of the Sunset Strip.

Both of the stars have substantial real estate portfolios, including other residences in the Los Angeles area. Both Diaz and Grande own or have owned other homes in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood. Grande sold one of those properties in the fall of 2021, and currently resides in another home in the area’s Bird Streets section. As for Diaz, the actress owns the home next door to the one she just sold to Grande, however she primarily resides with her husband, Good Charlotte singer Benji Madden, in a modern farmhouse in the prestigious Beverly Hills Post Office neighborhood.

Grande’s new two bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom dwelling was originally built in 1950 and offers up about 1,800 square feet of living space. Since the home was never actually listed, it’s hard to pin down the exact aesthetic of the interior, however according to Dirt, tax records paint the picture of a single-story midcentury home.

While the house does sit on a half acre, a big portion of that land is comprised of hillside that’s far too steep to actually use. It seems like Diaz initially intended to use the property to expand her home next door, which was her primary residence at the time. City documents from 2009 show plans to demolish the existing house and to replace it with a new residence that would have been much larger, Dirt reports.

While those plans never came to fruition, Diaz did update the home in 2018 with a new roof and new windows. She also expanded the kitchen, remodeled the bathrooms and added an additional powder room. Even with these updates, it’s not really clear what Grande’s plans are for the house. That said, since she lives nearby it seems like the home could be for a close friend or family member.
