Biglaw Leaders Still Worried About Getting Associates Back To The Office
Getting people to come back in the office is continuing to be a challenge. The real question is: do we lay down the law? Or is the cost of doing that not worth the price we will pay?
— The leader of an Am Law 100 firm, in anonymous comments given to the American Lawyer, concerning some of their top concerns in 2023, one of which is getting associates to return to the office in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Many firms have implemented policies mandating three days of in-person work per week, and several have enforced those guidelines by tying bonuses and continued employment to office attendance.
