High profile Hollywood connections abound in the homes in and around the city of Los Angeles, but the home that Law & Order SVU’s Christopher Meloni owned for nearly ten years has a particularly dense list of cultural connections. Back in the 1950s, it was owned by Ozzie and Harriet Nelson and served as their on-screen home in ABC’s long-running sitcom The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet and the couple’s real life dwelling, too. Later it appeared as the home of Jeremy Piven’s character in Entourage, but now according to Dirt, Meloni has sold the dwelling, passing the baton over to another famous buyer, Rawson Marshall Thurber, the director behind Dodgeball, We’re The Millers, and Red Notice.

Originally built in 1916, the home’s traditional style has been well-maintained—its white siding exterior and quaint kidney-shaped pool are particularly charming—though the 5,283 square foot space has clearly seen some updates. Chief among them is the open concept kitchen outfitted with marble countertops and high-end appliances and the primary suite’s simple fireplace, which is wholeheartedly modern. Five bedrooms and six bathrooms are spread throughout the home and its guesthouse. A detached three car garage and a large motorcourt offer plenty of room for parking.

The half acre property changed hands for $5.9 million in an off market deal, not much more than the $5.25 million Meloni and his wife, Sherman Williams, paid for the spot in 2014. Back in 2013, the LA Times reported that several residents have claimed the house is haunted—incidents include covers flying off of sleeping guests and doors opening after having been unlocked—which may account for the lack of interest at the asking price of $6.5 million that they first listed the home for in 2020.
