Musician Orville Peck (born Daniel Pitout) has picked up a house that perfectly suits his contemporary country sensibilities in the Hollywood Hills. According to Dirt, the masked crooner paid $1.9 million to Jennifer Nicholson (Jack Nicholson’s daughter) for the three bedroom, three bathroom space. Nicholson isn’t the only other notable figure who’s lived on the property—she purchased the home from actress and daughter of Meryl Streep Mamie Gummer (you may have seen her on The Good Fight and True Detective), who bought it from model and cosmetics entrepreneur Josie Maran. Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante previously lived there as well.

The 1,694 square foot rustic-style home is dripping in wood both inside and out. Indoors, earth tones abound with wood window sills and trim, plus terracotta tiled floor and built in reclaimed wood cabinetry. The kitchen manages to stay faithful to the outback energy with a wood front refrigerator, a farmhouse sink, copper countertops, and an antique O’Keefe and Merritt stove.

Outdoors, in the shadow of the wood-paneled home and amongst the views provided by its hillside locale, there’s a large built in bench that’s perfect for entertaining around the stone fire pit. On the other side of the exterior, another built in seating area surrounds a dining table built around a mature tree and adjacent to a barbecue station. The house is surrounded by trees, making it feel like an escape to the woods while also allowing for plenty of privacy from neighbors. Along with the bedrooms, the top floor of the home serves as an art or recording studio, making it a perfect fit for “Dead of Night” singer Peck.
