There’s no shortage of design inspiration on the internet. If you want to decorate your home like an English countryside cottage or a Palm Springs midcentury ranch, there is an abundance of Pinterest boards and YouTube home tours for that. I’ve personally saved countless photos and videos over every app that encapsulate what my dream home could look like one day. But whenever I open my saved Instagram folder of inspiration images, I’m filled with anxiety as I’m confronted with a barrage of styles and pieces that I couldn’t possibly recreate in my small apartment. I’m going to assume I’m not the only one who gets overwhelmed when trying to visualize a new home or redecorating a current one. So, to make it simpler, why not take some design queues by looking at your Zodiac sign?

Obviously, not all sun signs are going to decorate the exact same way, but your sign could help you prioritize what’s important. A Taurus might want to focus on obtaining nice kitchenware and having sturdy appliances, while a Libra might be more into getting great art to hang on their walls. Virgos will appreciate order and simplicity so they don’t get overwhelmed (if you couldn’t tell, I’m a Virgo) and Leos will like a bit of flashy glamour in their homes.

So let’s make it even simpler by specifically looking at celebrities who share the same sign as you. If you’re a Scorpio, you could draw inspiration from Kendall Jenner’s serene L.A. home while a Gemini could take notes from Troye Sivan’s airy Melbourne pad. Sure, celebrities get the benefit of interior designers and big budgets, but their homes are a great place to look for guidance when the idea of getting a new lamp or changing up your shelving can bring you to tears (hopefully this is not just me).

Additionally, if you’re looking to renovate or move, 2022 could be a great time to do it. This year, Jupiter, the planet of expansion and good luck, meets up with Neptune, the planet of dreamy visions and fantasies, in the creative, magical sign of Pisces. This is a perfect time for thinking big and making your dream home a reality. Who knows, maybe you can manifest your own Mediterranean villa or Malibu cliffside mansion.

Aries

Aries are known for being a bit fiery and boisterous, so it’s good for them to have a place to chill out. Big Sean, an Aries, curated his home to encourage maximum relaxation. But this sign also knows how to have fun, so they need to have space for an impromptu rager, like Sean’s in-home club that he inherited from fellow fire sign, Slash. Aries just need to watch out for being impulsive when making design decisions—Sean decided to put in a window in his kitchen that ended up cutting into a necessary structural beam. Aries would also benefit from big statement pieces and visible vision boarding—if they want it and have the confidence and drive to achieve it.

Taurus

Kirsten Dunst fully captures the Taurus spirit with a rich, country-vibes home that’s filled with incredible finds and antiques. A Taurus loves nice things, but they can’t just be pretty and trendy—they’re more likely to have a deep history and can conjure up emotion (the star mentions tearing up over some of her pieces). Kirsten has collected items such as one of Jackie O’s doors and a Danish wingback chair that’s almost impossible to find elsewhere. Taureans can follow her lead by taking their time to acquire things that are really important to them, even if they have to splurge a little. Kirsten follows the Taurus method of doing things slowly and surely and knowing the amazing results that can come along the way.

Gemini

As a mutable air sign, Geminis require a lot of fluidity and flexibility. Troye Sivan’s unexpected Melbourne home is a dream for a Gemini, with lots of huge windows and open levels so you can carry on conversations from different floors. Geminis are also big on communication—they need places where they can write, chat, and read whenever they want. Sivan’s home is strewn with his favorite books and features multiple reading nooks, which could easily be recreated in your favorite Gemini’s home.

Cancer

Cancer is the iconic homebody of the Zodiac, so it’s especially important for a Cancer to have a home that they love since they won’t want to leave it. Liv Tyler, a Cancer sun and rising, has owned her cozy New York brownstone since she was in her early 20s. It gives off the vibe of a perfectly worn-in family home, featuring plenty of quirky memorabilia and sentimental memories. You don’t have to get that extreme, but it’s great for Leos to have a space that encourages playful creativity. They could indulge in bright colors, animal prints, or their own see-through piano. Leos also love to remind people that they’re Leos and Delevingne not only has lions adorning the outside of her home, she also has a dog named Leo.

Virgo

After the flashy trip of Leo, the Zodiac comes back down to Earth with Virgo. A Virgo isn’t going to be the first person to flaunt their home, but that doesn’t mean they’re boring. Mark Ronson’s lush L.A. home is anything but basic, with pops of wallpaper and bold art. But even the wildest Virgo is going to be inherently practical—the producer goes by the adage “if it’s not broke, don’t fix it,” and has a whole guest house for family and friends to stay in. Mark truly shows his Virgo-ness by shyly showing off his Grammys and various accolades, not wanting to draw too much attention to himself.

Libra

Libras are blessed with an inherent knack for good taste, so they don’t even need to try that hard when decorating a space. Libra Dakota Johnson’s airy, light-filled home is effortlessly chic and perfectly curated with blown-out photographs and an alphabetized record collection. Libras can prioritize form over function, as evidenced by Johnson’s beautiful yard furniture that isn’t supposed to go outside or her wood table from Winston Churchill’s yacht that guests can’t actually sit at.

Scorpio

Kendall Jenner’s hidden Hollywood home offers one of the most important things to a Scorpio—privacy. A Scorpio is going to want a place where they can recharge and get away from the world, ideally one that’s tucked away in the midst of a forest. The model’s Scorpio traits are on full display with her personal art studio (Scorpios are highly creative), moody earthy tones, and somewhat risqué Tracey Emin piece. A good dining and living room that encourages intimate, deep talks would also be high on a Scorpio’s list of requirements.
