Elon Musk’s homeowner worries are over now that he’s found a buyer for his Silicon Valley estate. Musk originally listed the home for $37.5 million in June, declaring on Twitter that the home “needs to go to a large family who will live there” because “it’s a special place.” This family must have been a little difficult to find—in September he pulled the listing for the home, then lowered the price by $5.5 million and relisted it the following month, a move that seems to have paid off. Since the sale hasn’t closed yet, little information is available about the price he fetched, though the home is in contract, according to Mansion Global.

The home in question, which is known as Guignécourt, was built in 1912 by a French nobleman and boasts many of the luxuries you would expect from such a stately locale. The interiors have been preserved rather than modernized, with high ceilings, gorgeous crown molding, and grand fireplaces throughout the home. Music rooms and a library with leather walls in particular point to the home’s history, along with the beautiful landscaped lawn and pool and pavilion. Overall the home contains seven bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, with 16,000 square feet of living space and 47 acres of land.

The estate was the final property in Musk’s real estate portfolio which he has been selling off since 2020 when he stated on Twitter that he was “selling almost all physical possessions” and planned to “own no house.” The billionaire has reportedly been living in a 400 square foot home that he rents from his company SpaceX since July.
