A Florida man who died while skydiving last weekend has been identified as a 69-year-old attorney who practiced administrative and employment law.

Frederick Charles Morello, the owner of the Law Office of Frederick C. Morello in Daytona Beach, Florida, was “outfitted in parachute attire and gear” when his body was found in the front lawn of a home near a municipal airport Oct. 7, the Daytona Beach News-Journal reports.

The airport is in Titusville, Florida, a city about 50 minutes south of Daytona Beach. Local officials pronounced him dead at the scene.

Morello graduated from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1987 and worked with an insurance defense law firm that had four offices in central Florida and represented insured people and companies until 1991, according to his firm’s website.

He opened his practice in April 1991 and “successfully represented individuals against businesses, institutions, national and international companies and governmental entities in litigation and through trial.” He also said he represented select companies, acting as their counsel in employment matters, contract disputes, human resources issues and litigation.

Morello included a section on his website called “Fred’s Passion,” where he posted photos of himself skydiving. Many of these photos were taken by the Skydive Space Center, which is in Titusville, Florida.

A “celebration of life” has not yet been scheduled, according to his website. The Daytona Beach News-Journal reports that an investigation is ongoing.
