Back in April 2025, Duran Lantink was appointed the creative director of Jean Paul Gaultier. The Dutch fashion designer became the French fashion house’s first permanent creative director, subsequent to JPG’s retirement in 2020. Held within a stark white Paris venue, Lantink’s showcase explored the dialogue between classic couture techniques and the new technologies (including artificial intelligence). The collection comprised tulle overflowing with layers, bold volumes, contrasting hues, striped bows that seemed almost never-ending, and a variety of asymmetries.
