Day four of Menswear Paris Fashion Week and the highlight of the schedule was undoubtedly Dior Men. The show marked the first from Kim Jones, post exit from Fendi as womenswear creative director. As rumors continue to circulate regarding Jones’ future at Dior, the British designer staged his 27th collection as the creative force behind Dior Men. Guests (including Kate Moss and Gwendoline Christie) were ushered inside a vast structure erected at École Militaire. Models soon emerged down a vast white staircase, dressed in a collection inspired by the rich Christian Dior archives. Taking direct inspo from a Monsieur Dior couture collection from 1954, the monochromatic color palette recalls that of the iconic ‘New Look’ as Jones revisited archival elements such as opera coats and detachable sleeves.

“A travesty. An entire collection of missteps. The draped feminine pieces are abominable. The blazer with the inset lapels and the jacket with the bow and bib at the back are an abomination.” [Nimsay]
