A stunning mountainside escape that used to belong to golf legend Jack Nicklaus has hit the market for $8.5 million. Jack Niklaus is a retired golf champion and esteemed golf course designer. Having designed some of the most prestigious courses all over the world, it should come as no surprise that his former home is also a total dream. Located in the exclusive Beaver Creek resort area of Colorado, the cabin sits on the mountain so that the owners and lucky guests can ski directly in and out of the home until their heart’s content.

The traditional cabin-style offers 8,620 square feet of living space, and sits on more than one acre of slope-side land. It is even located in close proximity to the shuttle that will take you to different resort attractions, which would be a convenient option for groups and families. The cabin features exposed wood beams and a grand entryway that leads into a sweeping living space – all of which have extra-tall vaulted ceilings.

It’s packed with ski lodge-style rustic details like a chandelier made out of antlers and stone-clad walls. It has six bedrooms and six bathrooms, plus huge windows throughout that have northern views. One of the most unique features is the built-in sectional in the living room, which is large enough to accommodate lots of guests. The kitchen features subzero appliances, granite countertops and lots of space.

The primary suite features vaulted ceilings, a walk-in closet and an attached bathroom with an encased rainfall shower. An attached private deck is located just outside the primary suit. A lofted space overlooking the living room would make for the perfect office space, just as the terraces on each level would make ideal spaces for admiring the snowy mountains. The home also boasts an indoor racquetball court, game room, and terraces off of each level.
