There are a lot of modern farmhouses in the Los Angeles area these days, but the one where Hamilton actors Daveed Diggs and Emmy Raver-Lampman have lived for the past few years is unique. Far from being basic, the home was decorated with the help of AD100 interior designer Mandy Cheng and boasts a ton of fun and colorful features like swings hanging from the living room ceiling, a room plastered in monkey wallpaper, and a patterned backsplash in the kitchen that complements green cabinetry.

Diggs and Raver-Lampman christened this space the “monkey room” because of the wallpaper.

After slowly creating their dream home—and opening their doors to AD, gracing the April 2021 cover—the couple has now decided to put the five bedroom, six bathroom pad on the market. They are asking  $2.895 million for the 3,505-square-foot dwelling, which they purchased when it was newly built in 2018 for $2.155 million. (Michael Grady of The Agency has the listing.) In April of this year, the pair shelled out $5 million for a new place in Studio City that is contemporary yet rustic, with largely black-and-white interiors featuring wood accents.

“My dream was to live in a place with a swing chair hanging from the ceiling,” Raver-Lampman previously told AD.

We presume their new five bedroom, four-and-a-half bathroom home is where they plan on living next, but we also imagine they will look back on their time in their first home together fondly. “Every decision had such a deep sense of meaning,” Raver-Lampman, who, in addition to Broadway has starred on shows like The Umbrella Academy, previously told AD of decorating  the abode with Cheng while living in it at the same time. “I loved every moment of it.”

Diggs also felt emotionally invested in the space, saying, “Having a home like this definitely makes it harder to be away. Now I really understand what it means to miss home; because there is really no other place I want to be.” Here’s hoping their next place will provide that same warm feeling.
