Hearing Ends In Disbarment Recommendation For District Attorney
//
Leigh Manlove tried to spin her professional responsibility woes as cancel culture run amok. But on Friday a panel of the state Board of Professional Responsibility decided it was a little more serious than that, recommending that the Laramie County DA be disbarred.
“This panel finds the injury caused by (Manlove’s) conduct is serious,” the chair of the panel said, having just sat through days of testimony about Manlove’s management and handling of key cases. The state supreme court will have to take final action, though the report of the panel will weigh heavily on the justices’ minds.

“Until the Wyoming Supreme Court acts, Leigh Anne Manlove will continue to serve as the Laramie County district attorney, and she’s committed to serving the citizens of Laramie County as long as she remains in office,” said Stephen Melchior, Manlove’s attorney, following the announcement of the disbarment recommendation. “We live in a nation, fortunately, that is governed by the rule of law. She respects and honors that very foundational important principle and trusts the process.”
Nothing says a jurisdiction has its act together more than a district attorney facing the loss of her license.
