Hunter Biden’s Lawyer Tells Oversight Chair To Get F-d Over Dick Pic Demands

Yesterday, Rep. Byron Donalds took over an official congressional hearing to throw a tantrum over not getting to see Hunter Biden’s dick pics.

“The email is very clear: ‘More to review from Biden team.’ The response three hours later: ‘Handled these.’ What does ‘handled these’ mean?’” Donalds hectored while gesturing toward a poster listing tweets taken down at the request of the Biden campaign.

As has been widely reported, the deleted tweets, which were breathlessly hyped in Elon Musk’s “Twitter Files” as demonstrating unlawful coordination with the Biden campaign actually contained naked photos of Hunter Biden, allegedly harvested from his abandoned laptop without his consent. Non-consensual nude imagery violates Twitter’s terms of service, and so there was nothing inappropriate about taking down the tweets. But when witness Yoel Roth, the former head of Twitter Trust and Safety, pointed this out, Donalds demanded to know how Roth could have committed the web addresses to memory, unsubtly stoking the very scurrilous allegations that already forced Roth to flee his home for his own safety.

It was an extremely gross kickoff to what is clearly going to be an extremely gross congressional session, as Republicans gear up to make as much political hay as possible over the president’s son and his apparently unsavory but ultimately legal business practices.

House Oversight Chair James Comer is practically tumescent at the prospect, firing off letters today to Hunter Biden as well as to his uncle James Biden and their business manager Eric Schwerin demanding any classified document in their possession, any communications with Joe Biden since 2009 regarding travel or money, plus virtually every text, calendar entry, or email they’ve sent since puberty.

It’s not exactly subtle:

The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating President Biden’s connections to certain international and domestic business transactions and practices, including you and your associates who peddled influence to generate millions of dollars for the Biden family. Evidence shows that you engaged in foreign business deals with individuals who were connected to the Chinese Communist Party and received significant amounts of money from foreign companies without providing any known legitimate services. You and your associates’ financial conduct raises significant ethics and national security concerns. The Committee requests documents and communications related to our investigation of President Biden’s involvement in your financial conduct.

For his part, Hunter Biden seems finally to have realized that the time to go on offense is now. Last week, his attorneys Abbe Lowell and Brian Sullivan sent a preservation letter to Tucker Carlson and Fox’s general counsel regarding a recent story about Biden’s rent flogged by Carlson long after it had been debunked. They also requested criminal investigations of Rudy Giuliani, Steve Bannon, and computer repair troll John Paul Mac Isaac, as well as demanding that the IRS crack down on a so-called non-profit which appears to do nothing but monetize the contents of the “laptop from hell.”

Then today, Politico reported that Lowell had sent preservation letters to Giuliani, Bannon, and their lawyer Robert Costello, who played a pivotal role in getting the unvetted contents of the laptop into the New York Post.

And CNN reports that Lowell fired off a response to Rep. Comer making it clear he will not be cooperating with the onerous document demands.

“Whether you think Mr. Biden acted properly or not, and whether you think his private business dealings and associations are inappropriate or not, his behavior is that of a private citizen, not a public official,” the attorney wrote. “There was and is no family business in which he ever worked. He did not become a member of his father’s Administration. He does not maintain holdings that could be affected by the Administration’s actions. He was and is not in a position to use any of his positions in any family company or the Administration to now seek new business opportunities.”

Lowell went on to liken Comer to the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland, demanding “sentence first, verdict afterwards.” He did not point out that Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump actually worked in the White House; that Trump maintained his financial holdings for his entire presidency; that Jared Kushner just received $2 billion from the Saudi sovereign wealth fund; or that Trump’s own prosecutor in Delaware has been all over Hunter Biden for two years now and seems to have come up empty.

What would be the point of trying to reason with someone who just last week wondered if the Chinese spy balloon was filled with “bioweapons … from Wuhan” and demanded to know why President Biden didn’t shoot it down over Kansas?

Gonna be a long, stupid two years …
