Clearly, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner aren’t scared of a little color and pattern. Five months after the couple purchased a stylish, Frank Lloyd Wright–inspired glass home on the Miami waterfront, the Jonas Brothers singer shared an image on Instagram showing a Mah Jong sofa by Roche Bobois in their family room, and it is truly the stuff of a maximalist’s dreams.

The classic couch, designed by Hans Hopfer in 1971, features numerous modules covered in a mix of Missoni Home fabrics, including the iconic zigzag pattern, stripes, various shades of green, orange, and blue, and even a floral component that is visible in the top right corner of the photo. Jonas wrote in his caption that he is “very obsessed” with his new piece of furniture, which can be reconfigured for endless seating options.

Jonas is working with designer Sarah Ivory to furnish the six-bedroom, nine-bathroom home, and she tells AD that the DNCE lead singer’s style is “classic ’70s meets modern tropicalism,” which sounds perfect for his new south Florida environs. “My client wanted to reflect the Miami lifestyle in his new home. He wanted color, lots of plants, and requested instruments in every room should inspiration strike,” she says.

Though we haven’t seen how Ivory has outfitted the rest of the dwelling, the family room certainly delivers this aesthetic. In addition to the sprawling low-slung sofa, there are striped rugs in a palette of blue and green to add even more texture, as well as what looks like a simple black coffee table to tie things together and hold a floral arrangement.

“As a designer, I source from all over the world, including a great deal of vintage. It’s better for the environment, allows for faster timelines, and I live for the hunt. It’s important to create a balance between vintage and modern pieces,” Ivory says. “We chose this piece for the family room because it’s stylish but relaxed… We selected the Missoni fabrics because they are vibrant, happy, and lush to the touch. It’s a legacy piece that can be passed down to the next generation.” (Great news for Jonas’s 19-month-old daughter, Willa, though she probably doesn’t know it yet!)
