Kiernan Shipka’s latest look yet again shows that she isn’t afraid to take risks when it comes to fashion. While promoting the movie “Idiots,” she embraced a graphic, retro-inspired ensemble. The look balanced a barely-there top with a sweeping skirt and one especially dainty-looking strap.

Shipka wore a black Emilio Pucci two-piece featuring the Italian label’s instantly recognizable printed trim. The cropped top was cut into a tiny bandeau-style silhouette, leaving her midriff completely bare.

Rather than conventional shoulder straps, the piece featured an asymmetric halter construction, with a single narrow strap. It had the same print and appeared to do much of the work of keeping the top in place. Orange, red and brown Pucci-patterned borders traced the neckline and edges of the top, with long ties hanging loosely down the front.

She teamed it with a coordinating black maxi skirt worn low on her hips. The same swirling print wrapped around the waistband before continuing diagonally down the skirt. This helped frame the thigh-high slit that flashed her leg as she posed. Shipka finished the outfit with towering black platform heels, allowing the dramatic proportions of the two-piece to remain the focus.

Her beauty choices were similarly unfussy. She wore her brunette hair down in softly tousled layers with face-framing pieces. She then opted for a warm, natural tone for her face and finished her makeup with a glossy nude lip.
