Add Kristen Wiig and Lily Collins both to the list of celebrities with good taste in design. Word has just surfaced via Dirt that former Saturday Night Live comedian Wiig sold a three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom property to fellow actor Lily Collins last year, and it is none other than Case Study House #10.

For anyone with an interest in California Modernism, the Case Study Houses are practically sites of worship. The Eames House in the Pacific Palisades may be the most notable of the original 36 structures (some of which were never built), but many of the mid-century designed homes still stand today. Case Study House #10 is the only one in Pasadena, and it was built in 1947 by father-son architecture team Kemper Nomland Sr. and Kemper Nomland Jr. Their structures have housed Hollywood’s stars for decades, from ‘40s bombshell Jane Russell’s since-demolished Sherman Oaks home to Hannah Ware’s Beachwood Canyon spot that AD toured last year.

The 3,425 square foot property Wiig has handed over to Collins was updated by previous owners, but its single floor, floor-to-ceiling window-sided structure is undeniably California Modern. Wood wall paneling that the home originally flaunted has been replaced with white walls, though the corrugated glass partition that separates the living room from the entry way is still in place. The property also has a pool and spa, which were reportedly added in 2014, and a guesthouse that accounts for a bed and a bathroom, though it's unclear when this structure was built.

Wiig paid $2.96 million for the home in late 2017, and after the $3.9 million off-market sale to the Emily In Paris star four years later, it’s clear that the property was a worthy investment.
