As Christian Dior creative director, Maria Grazia Chiuri has commissioned a whole plethora of female talent as campaign photographers. Subsequent to the Italian designer’s debut season of Spring 2017, names like Brigitte Lacombe. Paola Mattioli, Alice Mann, Brigitte Niedermair, Collier Schorr, and Sarah Jones have been called upon throughout Maria Grazia Chiuri’s tenure at Dior (often on more than one occasion). Therefore, it should come as no surprise to see MGC enlist yet another female photographer to capture the Pre-Fall 2025 campaign. Dior’s exiting creative director aptly called upon Yuriko Takagi for the occasion, after staging the show within the gardens of the Toji Temple (Kyoto, Japan). Models Claudia Campana, Dru Campbell, Hanaka Hori, Mika Schneider, and Rinno Ogahara roam a minimalist set throughout the hazy campaign imagery, evoking the mood of the collection perfectly.

“As per usual with Maria Grazia Chiuri’s Dior advertising campaigns, the imagery is perfectly inoffensive but so dreadfully mundane and boring. There’s just zero life whatsoever, to the point where it’s painful. Given the recent news, I can only hope the only way is now UP,” voiced vogue28.

Everyone else, however, was impressed. “I think it is quite beautiful. Almost takes me back to MGC’s ethereal beauty of Valentino days,” shared Deleted Member 167090.
