Netflix Is Giving Design Lovers Plenty to Binge This Summer
Let’s just say that Netflix definitely knows what sells. Which is why the Netflix shows coming out later this summer and into the fall will lean heavily into the home design and real estate realms. According to a release, the streaming service will be bringing back fan-favorite series like Dream Home Makeover starring Shea and Syd McGee (season 3 drops July 27) as well as a whole host of new shows.
One of those new programs will be Selling the O.C., which stars the members of The Oppenheim Group’s second office in Orange County and will premiere August 24. This should give fans their zinger-filled real estate fix while they wait for the return of Selling Sunset, which was greenlighted for two more seasons that will start production this summer.

Perhaps the most titillating title, however, is How to Build a Sex Room, a different kind of home renovation series that takes into consideration a couple’s most intimate desires and needs.

Courtesy of NetflixNetflix’s summer and fall lineup comes at a time when the popularity of home renovation series seems to be at an all-time high, gaining steam as more viewers are spending more time at home. Some of the streaming platform’s first ventures into the home design space included Amazing on the Inside and Dream Home Makeover, as well as the ever popular Tidying Up With Marie Kondo. With the runaway success of these programs has come more demand for home and design series, and Netflix is ready to seal the deal with its wide array of upcoming offerings.
