Penelope Cruz exuded an angelic aura at the 97th Annual Academy Awards on March 2. While stars gathered at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California, in dazzling outfits, Cruz ensured she was there to make history. According to PEOPLE, the gown was a modern reinterpretation of a Chanel Spring/Summer 1992 design that took 254 hours to make.

The “Vanilla Sky ” star accessorized the gown with Chanel high jewelry, staying true to her role as the brand’s ambassador since 2018. She also paired the ethereal look with a Soleil 19 Aout brooch featuring a 22.10-carat yellow diamond. Additionally, her choice of ear jewelry was the Soleil diamond earrings. She even wore a Comète Aubazine ring and another round-cut diamond ring of over 5 carats. 

Complementing her understated luxurious ensemble, her hair and makeup were a breath of fresh air. Cruz’s hair was styled in her signature side-swept fashion that cascaded over a shoulder. Moreover, her makeup enhanced her natural radiance with softly defined eyes and a nude lip.
