Ron DeSantis Claims Victimhood For Having Attended Yale And Harvard Law

There are many reasons to make fun of Ron DeSantis. There’s his very public failed attack against Disney, him yelling at children for not disregarding CDC guidelines, not to mention generally being an unlikable jerk. After some deep introspection, dear Ron has decided to hone in on why he’s so disliked by people. The answer? Well, its simply because his education was just so much better than yours was. In his new book “The Courage to Be Free: Florida’s Blueprint for America’s Revival,” DeSantis bears his soul and shares the real reason why he’s been facing uphill battles: he went to Ivy League schools. DeSantis harbored reservations about his “elite” education. In his writings, he expressed that he viewed his degrees from esteemed institutions like Yale and Harvard Law as potential stumbling blocks during the GOP primaries.

“I viewed having earned degrees from Yale and Harvard Law School to be political scarlet letters as far as a GOP primary went.”

This should be read as utter bullshit considering that the audience he’s pandering for is also a big fan of Donald Trump (Penn’s Wharton School of Business), Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett (who literally served as a handmaid in a religious cult that is currently being investigated by the FBI), and Judge Ho, an aspiring Biblical interpreter at the bench who got his JD from Stanford Law. That’s the weird thing about the “drain the swamp” sentiment that DeSantis is pretending to care about — his only other competition is just as entrenched in the swamp as he is.

I pray that his constituents will grow to forgive DeSantis for graduating from Harvard Law. I’m not sure where it ranks on the list of his gubernatorial shortcomings like the growing number of school shootings in Florida, its book bans, or its general Floridia-ness, but hey — a list is a list.
