The Smokeball-LEAP-InfoTrack Group, which owns a number of legal practice management and legal search technology products, said today that it has acquired Phoenix-based LawLytics, a company that provides website management software for small law firms and solo practitioners.

The LawLytics platform is an all-in-one website publishing and SEO platform for small law firms. Its founder Dan Jaffe will continue as CEO, leading a significant investment in expanded features and integrations, the company said in a press release.

“LawLytics has built a unique platform to deliver world-class websites to small law firms, at scale,” said Christian Beck, founder of the Smokeball-LEAP-InfoTrack Group. “Its software has emerged as the strongest leader in the very large and competitive U.S. market and is the future of legal marketing. We’re excited to partner with Dan and the LawLytics team.”

“This deal turbocharges our mission of simplifying and demystifying legal marketing with powerful and easy-to-use technology,” Jaffe said in a statement. “We now have both the strategic and financial backing of the world’s most successful legal technology organization and the autonomy to maintain our culture of client-focused innovation.”

Earlier this year, InfoTrack acquired Lawgical, the parent company of several legal industry brands, including the Legal Talk Network, which produces some 30 law-related podcasts, ServeNow, which says it is the nation’s largest independent network of process service professionals, and ServeManager, a technology platform for process servers to manage service of process.

In August 2020, InfoTrack acquired a majority stake in the court calendaring company LawToolBox, also based in Denver. In March 2020, it acquired One Legal, a California provider of online litigation support services such as court filing, service of process, and document retrieval.

Founded in Australia by Christian Beck in 2012, InfoTrack expanded into the U.S. in 2016, where it offers a variety of search services for searching title and property information, state company filings, UCC reports, and court dockets. It also offers electronic filing services in six states and an online business-formation service.

InfoTrack is owned by Beck’s company Australian Technology Innovators Pty Limited, which also owns the law practice management companies LEAP Legal Software and Smokeball, as well as a number of other affiliated companies in Australia, New Zealand, and the U.K.
