And for the two recently departed top prosecutors in Manhattan, both have new Biglaw homes. Former SDNY U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss will rejoin Fried Frank, while former New York County DA Cy Vance will be heading to Baker McKenzie.

Strauss returns to the White Collar group at Fried Frank that she ran from 1995 to 2012, this time as Senior Counsel. It marks a reunion with current group leader Geoffrey Berman, who served as U.S. Attorney before Strauss, and whom Strauss also served as Deputy. Strauss is a legend in the area, and whatever the scope of her new role, she’s a tremendous asset to Fried Frank’s group.

Vance joins Baker McKenzie as a partner and will serve as Global Chair of Baker McKenzie’s Cybersecurity Practice based on his prosecutorial success in cyber crime. The firm took the occasion of Vance joining up to highlight its tech-forward team, name-checking white collar investigations lawyer Jessica Nall, AI and trade secrets litigator Bradford Newman, and former UK Information Commissioner Elizabeth Denham in the press release.
