Unvaccinated New York Court Employees To Be Fired In April

Any judge not in compliance subjects themselves to a referral to the Commission on Judicial Conduct for their determination.

— New York state courts spokesperson Lucian Chalfen, commenting on a letter unvaccinated employees received from the Office of Court Administration, advising that they would be fired on April 4, 2022, for their failure to be inoculated against COVID-19. More than 150 employees are at risk of losing their jobs. Chalfen also noted that judges who have failed to follow through with the vaccination mandate “are being held to account.”
