I hope you’re ready to read the thoughts of a former public defender on some SCOTUS 4th Amendment cases!

JUST IN: Senate confirms Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court. She is the first African American woman and former public defender to join the court in its 233-year history. She will begin after Justice Breyer retires at end of current term. #SCOTUS

Welcome to the highest court of the land! Now quick! Somebody make sure Ilya Shapiro is okay! Did someone get the bowtie news anchor his LSAT scores in enough time? Is each BLSA ready to announce their “We in there” content?! Cause I’m ready for it. I’m so ready for it, I even want to read the opposition’s discontent because their attacks read as compliments.

He need to go on a vacation like he did doing that crisis in Texas

Personally, I hope she goes so far left the construction of NASCAR tracks gets renovated.

I don’t know if Judge Jackson listens to the musician Yeat, but I do, and I will be celebratorily blasting Monëy Twerk in her eminent name.

You don’t understand. I’ve curated a whole playlist for just this moment. And I hope that you, after reading this, will always hear “Justice Jackson had dreads, so shake em” the next time you hear E-40. I have a nice bottle of Welch’s Sparkling White Grape juice chilling right now.  I can already picture joyfully sipping sips of the bubbly from a Court Alert mug I got from Legal Week. This is one of those being-aware-of-history moments you pay attention to so that X years from now when you’re sitting at a bar you can turn to your right and say, “I remember what I was doing when Justice Jackson was put on the SCOTUS.” And I will say that I was turnt.
