Irina Shayk brought an archival fashion moment to the red carpet at the 83rd Venice Film Festival. The supermodel stepped out in head-to-toe black, putting a sultry spin on vintage dressing while posing for photographers. However, it was the revealing construction of her decades-old Dolce & Gabbana dress that made the look impossible to miss.

Shayk wore a black Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2003 dress, originally seen on the runway more than two decades ago. The body-hugging satin design featured a plunging scoop neckline that highlighted the lingerie-like construction underneath.

While the front appeared relatively streamlined, the sides told a completely different story. Massive cutouts ran to almost the entire length of Shayk’s figure. They stretched from underneath her arms and continued down past her hips and thighs.

Thin black laces crisscrossed over the exposed sections, creating a corset-like effect while offering glimpses of the black lingerie beneath.

The fitted silhouette hugged Shayk through the waist and hips before ending below the knee. Lace-up detailing continued toward the hem, while small flared panels added extra movement to the bottom of the dress.

Shayk leaned even further into the early-2000s styling by layering opaque black tights underneath the archival number. She paired them with pointed-toe black stiletto pumps, keeping nearly her entire outfit monochromatic.

For contrast, the model added plenty of sparkle around her neck with a wide, crystal-covered choker. She also wore an oversized blue gemstone ring, which delivered another striking pop of color against the all-black ensemble. Shayk wore her dark hair down in glossy, voluminous waves with a center part, while her makeup featured defined eyes and a glossy nude lip.

Between its plunging neckline, daring sides, and never-ending lace-up side cutouts, Shayk’s vintage Dolce & Gabbana look proved that one of the boldest designs at the Venice Film Festival came straight from 2003.
